I thought it's about time to tell you about our latest releases! Instead of the big pushed releases we are currently focussing on our Demo Series and digital releases (through Deeplife Records).
Our Demo Series have started in the Skilltone sublabel as well as Deepsink. There are 3 releases in so far which i'll introduce to you!! Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Ja & Rusp - IJstheep (LLR-SDS001)
Demo is not the right word for this first release on Skilltone Demo Series. What you get is a 16-track hiphop album with great artwork, including lyrics and a professional sound for a budget price! These guys show there is still some talent to be found in the dutch underground!! Musically you will find pretty layed back hiphop, almost grassroots like, with interesting samples (dig in to your dad's vinyl collection to find these) and very relaxing beats. Ja & Rusp are young but do hold serious skills regarding their flow and used metaphors. The beats are mainly produced by their homie Zimmie. Finally there are so few copies left right now, there's almost bound to follow a second pressing, proving this stuff really rules!!
Out Of This World - Influence (LRR-DDS001)
I might have introduced this one before, but in case you missed, here you go again! The very first release in the Deepsink Demo Series features a strong and experienced dutch producer with his project Out Of This World. Visit his website for a full perspective and vision on this project. The release features 10 great tracks which vary from some freaky acid techno to even an ambient track. With very clear lyrics and an obvious message written on the inlay you will be able to dig into the music! This first Deepsink Demo is a limited edition, only 100 copies made!! Be sure to order yours today since there are only few left. This is a must if you like the freaky, oldschool acid techno!
Tiewrap - Speaking Objects (LRR-DDS002)
This is something you have never heard before!! Speaking Objects is a project that gives objects a voice. Tiewrap created an album full of sound and it truly holds some amazing tracks! Now this one's really interesting!! This young dutch producer gives the objects around him a voice!! The used sounds are made by ticking, slamming, blowing and dropping on/in/of particular objects that relate to the topic of the song. You haven't heard it like this before! Tiewrap is a graphic designer and percussionist who digs in to his creativity and comes up with a remarkable release in our Deepsink Demo Series with 16 tracks!! It's different, some might call it weird, but it does stand out and is well worth buying!! You haven't heard it like this before!
