Hahah, I like this:

Superheroes have been young, mutated, and alien, but they're rarely fortysomething billionaires with a taste for one-night-stands, metallurgy, and scotch. Perhaps this is why Iron Man is so effective.

Why not digital? For serial!

Confession: I saw Ep 2 in every format they released it on in the theater. Imax was the WORST. They cut out 20 minutes and did a pan and scan of it.

On the other hand... the picture quality was INFINITELY better than the matrix reloaded on imax which was extremely graining and keylined. IE. Over sharpened.

It's listed as being released in IMAx, but the Imax theatre here is not showing it, so THX is the best I could do!

Yeah, that Star Wars was back when IMAX could only do 2 hour movies, so they had to edit it down.

Now they can do longer, but you're right, Matrix wasn't too good in IMAX.

Batman Begins was very good in IMAX though!

Ludicrously massive cinemas is one of the things I miss most about living in Canada.

Yeah that looks ... lame Cheesy. Just like transformers. Sorry, I'm going to have to disagree on superhero movies in general.

Yeah, that Star Wars was back when IMAX could only do 2 hour movies, so they had to edit it down.

But, the star wars deal with Imax was amazing for one thing. That was the first film ever shot in all digital. All of the critics of digital cinematography said that you couldn't blow the image up that much and still retain the image quality. Lucas did this edit solely to prove them wrong and he did. The image was perhaps one of the cleanest I had every seen that large.

The all digital release was just as important as it fully completed the entire digital only aspect of the film. Beyond that, it did give Lucas more time to add in a few things he hadn't had the time to do prior to the main release of the flick such as add in some sparks and other visual flares. Nothing major, but it was a few finishing touches that added to it even if the majority of people didn't notice.

Heard from a buddy who just saw it and said it was AWESOME.

He said the Nick Fury appearance takes place during the credits, so stay through those to see it.
