EAT ORGANIC AND THROW OUT YOUR ASPARTAME!

« Reply #18 on: August 31, 2007, 10:35:54 AM »

Try the chemo diet!!  It really makes you lose our appetite.  Cheesy.

Actually though, I take all kinds of supplements right now, eat mostly organic foods and try to eat more live foods.  If any of you want to know about what I have been taking i will happily share that with you. I was nearly 260 pounds when i started this journey and dropped all the way down to 188lbs. but then got back up to a more healthy 210 lbs

In Christ,

i stopped eating meat and lost 10 pounds in 4 months without excercise.  stopped drinking coffee and soda and i expect to lose another 15 pounds by the end of the year.  i agree with the whole cardio workout to stay healthy but if you just want to lose weight i would say change the little things in your diet and be patient.  also i take about 1200mg of Echinacea a day and haven't been sick in about 2 years. started dieting about 6 weeks ago. i dont' weigh myself but my shirts that were tight on me are now loose.    high protein is what works for me. lots of chicken, lean beef, etc.
heheh......that and i'm used to being hungry all the time.
i take a multivitamin (*which made me feel twice as good in about 2 weeks without doing anything else. i highly recommend this to anyone. it's the easiest, cheapest thing you can do besides drinking a lot of water), and started on glusosamine/controitin (just to be safe & strengthen up the joints).
can't do lots of cardio because i don't want to hurt my knees, but do what i can. walking, situps, pushups, lifting a little bit. dancing around in a dj booth/at a wedding for hours while spinning is a surprisingly good workout if you're not used to it :-)

Well Right now I'm doing some jogging and some rollerblading. I tried to put some Parkour in there for a while but man it was too phyically demanding and I couldn't get over the huge mental barriers that you need to overcome for that thing. For the winter there will be more jogging and maybe some cross country skiing. I'm laying off the fast food joints and I go maybe on average once a week to the burger and fries joint. I've been training again as of Feb 2007 after a major laying of the training which cause a hugh weight gain.  I've dropped from 285lbs to around 250lb in half a year. My waist went from 49" down to 43". I'm 6'3" with big shoulders btw. My tuxedo from my wedding 5 years ago fits better now than it did then and I now wear my wedding ring again as it now fits proper.  I can't say I eat anything special or take any supplements. I'm looking to get down to a 40" waist and lose about 15 or 20lbs then I'm done pretty much.  I have no training partner to keep me going, heck I have no friends and no life, just doing my thing I guess. Huh I stay far away from anything like Yoga or Pilates as those things are Not the Christian thing to do and will severly anger the Christ for sure.  Angry And I guess that's about the gist of my story.  Smiley

i dont take supplements either. due to my panic disorder i have to stay clear from all that. i should add the yoga i take is geared towards grappling/jiu-jitsu, none of that hippie crap out there. normal stretching isnt nearly enough for me.

what¿?

I dont meditate while I do yoga. The program I do pretty much never talks about Chakras and etc. Before Yoga I was in almost constant pain ( not chronic but like stiffness and spasms and stuff like that) with my back, cuz i injured it in a car accident a couple years ago. I dont do it everyday anymore, i dont work constantly on my feet, so that helps, but yeah. It was the only thing that works and im pretty sure God hasnt struck me down yet...but i know alot of people have a huge problem with it but whatever.

yeah, i think we discussed this before. there's a different between physical stretching /stengenthing exercises and the spiritual aligning of the chakras.  funny you mention your back: some of the exact same moves from yoga are used for back rehab...
