how does the shaggy DA or Shrek glorify god?

Exactly.
1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

i think you're misunderstanding this scripture.  i don't know a single person in the history of man who glorified God in the way you mean. (as an active, purposeful, "i'm doing this to glorify god" sort of way. i don't know anyone who says, "I'm eating this steak for the glory of Gawwwwd!".)

Luther was once asked about this exact thing by a cobbler who became a christian. the cobbler asked Luther,(paraphrased) "How do i glorify God in all i do now that I"m a christian?"
Luther said, "By making a quality shoe for a fair price".

to quote eric little (the dude from chariots of fire who later went on to be a missionary to China), "God made me for a purpose..but God also made me fast. When i run i feel His pleasure."

-if you're funny & make a funny movie the family can enjoy, you are glorifying God.
-if you're good at writing music and write a great track people can enjoy, you're glorifying God.
-if you're a plumber and do a quality job for people on time and on budget, you're glorifying God.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I’m found.
Was blind, but now I see.

Transformers was pretty good, 7/10, my friend pointed out it had way too many sunsets in it tho...

But most recently "The Bourne Ultimatum". As gritty as gravel. And i marvelled at the foley in a non-stop 2 or 3 minute hand to hand fight scene - t'was awesome.

Next on my list is "Breach" and then noted to avoid is "Stardust"

And i'd also like to see "Shooter".

'300' makes you want to be a real man. I'm going to make my son watch it like Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwerk Orange.

OMG! Am I the only one who got this reference. This is terrible ... just terrible.  Cool

sorry, I don't see many movies, though i was glad to see Blades of Glory friday , since it was the last time I saw my uncle conscious.  We had a good laugh but not as good as when we watched Wild Hogs.

no waffle or synopsis, no "so-and-so didn't really buy into the role" and so on and so forth. Stick with the Blah rating system it rawks!

dang looks like youre up on all the fresh releases, must cost you a pretty penny unless you get some kind of deal with the theater. all those movies are on my to-see list ... except for rush hour three, i just wouldn't be able to sit through a movie with that child molester polanski in it, no matter how brief his role.

keep em coming guys.

i watched the Princess Bride last night.  10/10

lol.

I've seen it too many times to count and I still laugh every time I watch it...

I started wondering what would happen if hollywood today did the Princess Bride again and all I could think of was that they'd do it to the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean ie.  ultra suck, a duel in a rolling water wheel that looks super fake.

need more movies that rely on the strength of story, lets get back to simplicity in action-romance-drama-comedies lol
