I've known about this for a couple days, but was hesitant to post it. She had an interview last week with a women's prison and they pretty much told her she's got the job. The only thing that concerned them was why she was fired from her last job. My wife, figuring since they would be doing a rather extensive background check, decided to be honest and give the "paperwork" reason why she was canned. She elaborated on the situation saying that she knows it was an error in judgement, has never done anything like that before, and will never do it again.* The interviewer then said that might be a problem during the hiring process and that if they decided to retract her offer, that would be the cause.

Please pray that they will look past this one time incident. This will be a great government job for her and she will be making more than she has ever made, which obviously will come in handy.

She also had a very promising interview with the VA hospital recently, but has not heard back from them yet. This is also a very good opportunity for her.

*(For those who don't know from the other thread, she left the nursing home for literally 10 minutes to run home real quick. There was other nurses on the floor and they told her to it would be no problem. Then they reported her for leaving and she was fired for that and they tacked on negligance to her termination as well. It was a really bad place to work and this place has a very high turn around for nurses anyway.)

She got an offer at the VA Hospital, but she won't start work until they have completed a thorough background check, which usually takes then 2 months. So yay for the job and boo for the wait.
