I used to write a lot of poetry/ lyrics when I was younger, and most of them were birthed out of inner conflicts and Psychodrama. Poetry was very therapeutic for me, and I was thinking about maybe writing again, but instead of the stuff I wrote about I wanted to change it up. I listen to different bands most of them I have no idea what they're saying, and I wanted to know does anyone on here ever pen down their emotions on paper or Microsoft Word. I want to start doing that again, but in a positive aspect. I want to also put some on Myspace, I wrote 2 blogs, one serious, the second not so serious. Theyre not Poetic blogs either, BTW, just regular ones. This is a not a prayer request, I just didn't know where else to put this.

i have loads of chord sequences worked out on my guitar, but no words. I'll get round to record some instrumentals in September and maybe someone else could suggest some.

But when i've written lyrics, they come out best when i'm closest to God, and growing - which i must admit is not always all the time...

You did give me an idea though, I will (if) I do decide to write some stuff and post it on myspace, I will listen to the mixes I have and maybe that will get me in the mood to write some postive poetry or something.
