So is techno dead?
When would you consider something to be dead?

techno and trance are queit heart beats in the night in Houston... however... House is Very much alive here. some people have dubbed our city Houseton! lol. and that works for me now.... something about funkey electro house has consumed me, im addicted and cant stop buying records... I never thought i would say this... but im making the switch. sorry trance, but i have found someone new! dont worry tho... ill still visit you from time to time, but its just not the same anymore. lol!

Not even close to being dead! Abd there are more crossover acts than ever, they're just coming in different ways. Some of the biggest crossover acts as of late are Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Hot Hot Heat, Ladytron, Mylo, etc.
As for new styles, there's plenty of those as well! Check out Electro House, Tech Trance, Liquidfunk DnB, and many more.
kevin don't lie... everything is dead.. its all dead.. we might as well give up hope
j/k:)

Tekno will never die, infact DNB is Tekno, just a different branch of it, but its still Tekno none the less. Electro iz kool too, but it would be nice to hear Electro-Trance, if it exists. Trance will certainly never die, even though people in the House scene back in the early 90's thought it would never make it to the forefront, & thought it would die out fast, well they were sadly mistaken. Trance and Tekno alike will kontinue to live on maybe in other forms, but both styles will not cease to be, because at the end of the night, its Trance that steals the show or something!

Mike...I don't know about all that.....Ever heard Danny Tenaglia play? or Dubfire? or Donald Glaude? or Fatoby Slim? Not trance, but good nonetheless....But you're on point! It's all good, and going nowhere!

Maybe I've just been out of the loop, but surely we can agree it's not as big as it was in the nineties.
