Did this monday night...around 11:30pm...
It's a bit soft because it's a 20sec exposure ... but it is supposed to be displayed as a 5x7 so the softness is fine with me. the lighting was a couple of street lights about a quarter mile away... looking though the viewfinder I could barely see the model
The idea behind the series is to show the world at night as it would look if we had better night vision.
The two bright spots are I think Jupiter and Antares.
here is an earlier photoshoot... I think this was march...

20 seconds?? Your model did a great job of not moving.

hey zek not to hack your work or anything but if you want to fix the softness you mentioned on the first pic a series of simple photoshop filters can be applied like this :

Personal preference: I think I prefer the softness in a case like this.

Yeah... but Rod, you over sharpened the image a bit. Look at the artifacts you introduced around her hair. You can do better than that

yaeh i know plus the forum is squishing the image a little bit causing a bit of distor...what is the actual size that can be posted still keeping correct aspect ratio?

I looked at it outside of the forum.
You can do better.
The softness around the hair is fine. I'd just use like the sharpen tools around her neck and jawline to better define it. That might be worthwhile. I dunno though. I do like the "pop" you gave it. Just not the artifacts.
