Aloha, Recently, I had the priviliage of playing a Pete's (This Week at Beatport owner) birthday/going away party and wanted to share some pictures with you. Hopefully these pictures will make you smile or chuckle. I take the music and DJing seriously yet me...not so much. http://mintlive.com/mintdj/Desktop.html I have also included a link to a new DJ mix I recently recorded: http://www.thisweekatbeatport.com/mixes/MIX_070707_Hr3_TWBP_MintDJ.mp3Enjoy! “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him” - John Piper

Yeah, my friend has a cool house. He lives with an artist from France so it has a different vibe. Is that Mr. Belvedere? I was thinking more like this:

No laptop for me. I like the element of danger of a completely wrecking a party with big trainwreak mix. After playing over 50 live pa shows in front of some crowd sizes in the thousands, I need the fear and danger to give me me that thrill of pulling off a solid set. To be honest, I don't care what a DJ uses...it all comes down to great music and ability to program to a live crowd. I've heard laptop sets which bored the pants off me. A laptop can not compensate for bad style or the inability to read a crowd. The fear I have is a lot of laptop DJs program their sets at home and just hit play. I am sure people who have been DJing for years and have made the switch probably keep things spontantous. My fear is focused on people who have never DJ'd before.
The 'stache is safely at home in my office. It only comes out for DJ gigs. My 9-5 is pretty corporate so I keep it clean cut.
Have a great weekend. Please read your Bible!

That is one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time. I LOVE it! Well all I need to do is grow out a goatee and wear a shirt and tie. Now I know what character I will play for halloween. Fantastic!
Too bad the BBC original is so crass because he is very funny.
