I am working on my CCNA right now and I plan on getting my CCNP down the road, Net+, plus my AAS in networking...that should open up some opportunities for me. Working for (insert major office supplies store) really sucks and I hate working weekends.  Nate where are you going for a BS in networking? No one around here has a 4 year program in networking just programing.

Since some of you seem to have been in the IT business for a while let me ask. How important is A+ cert.? I have had several people recommend I take it, but I have read it is kind of worthless if you have higher level education. Next question. I live about 1 and half hours away from 2 University of Phoenix campuses and have been looking into their BS in Network Security program. How reputable is the university? Should I go else where?

I am not a fan of UoP myself, so I'm biased.  Get the A+.  It's not that expensive or hard and it's another cert to put on your list.  Your resume will sell you.

Basically as soon as they had my number they called, wrote, and email spammed me for months.  That put a real sour taste in my mouth.  Additionally, a lot of schools that offer 'quick' programs should be looked at carefully.  Even for me DeVry worked because it's known well around here, but it's still not the best option.  The advantage for me is that it's easy to get into and not as expensive due to military rates.
