OK... Let me simply say, I feel like my back is up against the wall right now. Everything regarding Cstone is set and it basically just needs to happen now. There's only one snag... my performances.

I just yesterday got all of my loops for the live pa over to the laptop. I'm still setting them up in Ableton and arranging scenes. I still want to tweak the FX a bit and experiment with the controllers more. I just don't see how I have time right now.

Beyond that... I need to finish getting all my tracks warped for my dj set. This is LESS important since that's much easier and I have more experience.

I had hoped to have BOTH of these ready by Monday of this week so I could practice both each night, but life has prevented this from happening. Some of it is bad planning on my part. I should have started 2 weeks earlier than I did. Still... I will get it done, but I could use some prayer for sanity and what not while doing it.

I can't tell you how excited I am about actually playing my stuff out live. It's been somewhat of a dream for over a year now. I'm glad it's happening.

Praying that all goes well at C-stone, for you and everyone else, and that everyone stays sane through the rest of their preparation.

Two people drift in a lifeboat. One says, "I see an island. Our best chance is to go ashore, build a shelter, and await rescue." The others says, "No, we must go farther out to sea and hope to find the shipping lanes." Unable to agree, the two fight, the lifeboat capsizes, and they drown.

You're gonna do alright Dave.

I just want to take this moment to say how much I love DJ'ing off of CD and vinyl. I never have to worry about all these Ableton issues. I just have to worry about proper track selection. I was considering setting up my set on an Ableton template and I was working with Jason (DJ Sixty Six) on doing this and when I saw all the complicated things he goes through to set up his set, I was like...eh forget it. I'll just spin CD's. It's so easy.

Step 1: Insert CD
Step 2: Push play
Step 3: match the beats
Step 4: Repeat from step 1.

yeah I ran through a set tonight because I was getting really nervous but it went really smoothly except for me hitting the stop buttons on my midi controller multiple times (oops!)    Gotta label those buttons!  Grin

You'll do great, man and I'll be praying for ya, please do the same for me that my laptop doesn't explode or something crazy  Smiley

Thanks guys. Chris, the real issue is building the live pa from hardware and software. Yeah... djing off cd or vinyl IS easier, but I can't give you a live show that way Wink

It's all finally coming together. I just need to finish mapping out the midi and warp the files for my DJ set. I don't have any real practice time, but I did explore how the system handles and I'm happy with it. Thanks for the prayers.
