I am using an Optimus SSM-1750 (Hello Radio Shack) as my sound board that I run everything through: DJ Set Up, Keyboards, cassette decks, spare CD Player, DVD/VCR and microphones. I am only using this as a means to consolidate all of the above into one out put to send to my PC.

Recently, I noticed the left channel on all of the above sans microphone stopped working. I did about two hours trouble shooting it thinking it was my PC's sound card, but upon hooking something directly into my soundcard I learned that the problem is my old faithful friend, Optimus.

Let's all take a moment of silence to remember all the great times ol's Oppty has given me.

So now as I prepare to lay him out to pasture, let's all come together as we can come up with a new plan to replace him with a newer model. Any Ideas?

can you tell, i like to shop Smiley   best bet: old, crusty gear from the salvation army, get about five really old receivers, make a stack of them, and a bunch of y-cables from radio shack, send the stereo end of all this to your soundcard.  vintage goodness you won't get from any effect or plugin!

That "no-brainer" is perfect since it is rack mountable. I can just take the old one down and put this one in. Now to come up with the $140 plus shipping....
