The Apple Store Bimginham are running a digital dj session today. Im off there to check it out so will let you know hows it gos..

Ok Am now back..
At the apple store was a DJ djing with serato. As many of you know im ableton through and through but more recently have been wondering wether to get some thing like serato or torq. One thing something like serato has over ableton is the ability to pull a track out on the fly. Some time i fine with ableton is that i think of track but can not play as i havent loaded it in!

Another interesting thing was that for speakers they were using the apple hifi speaker and it sounded amazing and seemed to fill the space of the shop. So i think im gonna go with the hif speaker!

easy solution: warp your tracks when you buy them.
More Complex: use a template and external keyboard controller like that nostromo to search and load those tracks into the right decks.

I had to take a double take on that.  I though you were here in Alabama, cause they just opened an Apple Store but realized you were talking Birmingham, UK.

Yes i do but i have a whole archive that needs time to be warped! It eats a lot of time i find! + its still and interface thing, Serato and m-audio find your collection with out fuss. Linking straight to itunes
