hey guys,

As you all should know right now, I am keeping OLR alive until Cornerstone and then we will adjust things to focus on an on-demand / podcast format. We will still have live streaming, but it will only be when we are actually broadcasting live. Each program should be recorded by it's host and then uploaded to our podcast directory to be distributed to all who subscribe and will be available for online streaming.

Also I will be offering the ability for global regional live broadcasts, aka if DJ Vicar would like to do his podcast live on the station, all he would have to do is connect to the server, which would be open, and he could. Basically each time zone around the world should be able to have their own programming available for a convenient listening time.

Finally, I will be linking to and/or hosting DJ mixsets and audio sermons form selected people who are interested in being associated.

I am very happy about this new direction and to celebrate this I have come up with a new name that I feel reflects the energy and zeal for this new direction. "Cast The Fire" will be the new name for One Life Radio as of the last week of June (Cornerstone). I wanted to drop the term "radio" since we will focus on a broader range of audio transmission. Allow me to break the  name down into what it means exactly.

Cast = Directly refers to podcasting, but also refers to any type of transmission or distribution.
The = the...duh?
Fire = a symbol of Christian life style, zeal, power, God's spirit in our lives, God's word, etc.
Cast The Fire = Spreading who we are as Christians and our faith and testimony through the internet via podcasts, on-demand streaming, and live transmissions.

Heres where the shirts come in: I am possibly bringing along a couple dozen shirts with me to Cornerstone to promote the new site. If I do get some shirts, I am wondering how many of you would be interested in buying a shirt for a small donation of $5 to help cover the costs. Initially, I was thinking I would just give the shirts away since this is a promotional tool, but the cost to have them made was a lot more than I was thinking. I was asking Quincy (The QdawG) for a quote on how much it would cost and I emailed him a design so he could factor that in the costs. He went ahead and ordered the shirts without confirming if I really wanted to have them done. He thought that I was definitely gonna say go ahead and order them since we only have a couple weeks. I am trying to get him to cancel the order and he is working on that, but if the order can't be canceled, then I will essentially owe him the money for the shirts. therefore, I will have to sell the shirts, preferably at Cornerstone.

So there ya go. New direction, new site, new shirts. Feedback?

Liking the on demand focus too! The option to broadcast form anywahere in the world sounds amazing. Will that be without extra work for you?

Will it kick off straight after cornerstone or presuming the process will start after cornerstone.
