actually at this point i really dont care anymore. ive warned people. ive done what i needed to do. do what you have to do. i have more important things to do with my time. it just makes me angry when someone comes a long who appears to be blaspheming God. i welcome differnt styles and opionions in the church...but there is a definant line between style and blasphemy.

Im sure others will welcome your thoughts here as i do not speak for all of Tastyfresh, but don't be surprised if I don't respond to them.

im done with this discussion.

have a nice day.

my brother Juday ray is still leading in producing flyers and web design including flash for raves and night clubes in los angeles

go to
www.edmsite.com

The site's REALLY slow, but from the work I have seen there, it's MUCH better than what I have seen used by your sites so far.

today i have designed with out help from the worldly scene what i think is relevant to the messianic christian rave scene. And will continue in providing a 100% Kosher and pure expierience for you to come and enjoy jesus.

Paul said he would become all things to all people so that they might come to know Jesus. You can't do this without observing and understanding the worldly scene. You can't simply choose what is and is not relevant to them. That would be like telling someone in line to buy ice cream from you that you are only selling yogurt when you clearly also offer ice cream.

I think Rodimus is just expressing some concern and is passionate about it to the point where he may have left his 'tactfulness' at the door.  Wink

Jesusrave.com... I want you to know that I think you're doing a good thing, especially in keeping your priorities straight. (Jesus #1)
Please be open enough to grasp what this forum is saying to you...we represent your audience...kinda. We're Christians already.
But the gist of what we're saying (mostly in one accord) is that much of your presentation and approach offends the very culture you are trying to represent by being too cheesey. It turns me right off. It doesn't convey the cool underground trendy vibe that Christian Trance/dance actually should. You need to re-examine how this is presented...otherwise not only will YOU be the laughing stock of the 'rave' culture (does it still exist?) but so WILL WE!! We're not trying to keep this underground by any means and we don't really care if we're mocked....I simply say this to express the feelings evoked in my mind when I think of this forum and its culture.

Thanks.

I should write something witty here....

Tobiah, I don't know your heart, and I'm not going to judge it. That's God's job, and He'd prefer I not try to take His job from Him.

That said, in looking at your site and MySpace pages, reading your posts here, etc., there were some flags that went up for me.

First, you talk about your accomplishments a lot. Maybe this is defensive reflex from having been questioned on it a lot. I don't know. But I've seen a lot of references to you being broadcast in prime-time to 5-7 million homes. You promote yourself as "inspired pastor and author". Maybe it's just me and things from my religious past, but warning bells always go off for me when someone declares himself inspired. For me, that brings to mind a cult leader who is the Voice Of God and not to be questioned or contradicted. I looked into the author part a bit. According to Amazon.co.uk, your book was published by Xulon Press. The Xulon web site describes the company as a "Christian Self-Publishing Print-On-Demand Affordable Book Publisher". Essentially, it appears that you're a published author simply because you wrote a book and paid to have it published.

Also, I don't get a feeling of reverence toward Jesus and God from any of your sites. Yeah, we want those who aren't Christians to come to see Jesus as relevant and accessible; however, we still need to have a proper respect and reverence toward Him. I think, combined with the abundance of graphical content in your material, this contributes greatly to many of the "Is this a joke?" initial reactions.

I read portions of your book. While I was glad to see that you stated in the Introduction that it's not canonical and not to be considered equal to the Bible, it troubled me. Things like being pronounced a prophet by God in a vision and having made one or more trips to Heaven to speak to God face to face take me back again to concerns about a cult leader who claims to hear directly from God and whose doctrine and teachings are not to be questioned.

I hate to say it, but the chapters ("riddles") that I read seemed to be incoherent ramblings to me. Perhaps you'd say that's because God hasn't chosen to open my eyes to the answers to the riddles.

To come back to the beginning, I don't know your heart. And I do believe that God can work through other people in ways that He won't through me because I'm resistant to them. I'm not a charismatic. I don't speak in tongues. However, your experience and book just aren't sitting well with my spirit.

I'm also hoping that you misunderstand the definition of the word "parody". In your post from December 6, 2006 at 4:16pm in the "TECHNO CHURCH IN L.A." thread that you started in the MySpace Electronic/Dance forum, you stated:

Quote
here is a big word 4 you, parody, look it up if you dont know what it is.

Dictionary.com defines "parody" as:

Quote
1. a humorous or satirical imitation of a serious piece of literature or writing: his hilarious parody of Hamlet's soliloquy.
2. the genre of literary composition represented by such imitations.
3. a burlesque imitation of a musical composition.
4. any humorous, satirical, or burlesque imitation, as of a person, event, etc.

Are you calling your work a parody? If it is a parody, than it is meant to be a joke. Or at least meant to be humorous or satirical, but definitely not a serious treatment of the subject: Jesus.

This now being one of the longest posts I've ever made at Tastyfresh, I'll shut up now. (And everybody said... AMEN!) Hopefully, I've been able to successfully explain how some folks (or at least I) might have some concerns, or at least questions, about your ministry.

::breaths deeply....3....2....1:: I'm sorry, but reading into your websites and history you are NOT the first Techno Church. The only difference between your "church" is that it's held every sunday.

I've been to other christian raves that have had sermons, some type of offering (typically NOT money) and shared in communion together. While joining in on the revolution of today's church is great, you are mistaken to think your church is the leader in this revolution.

And before you try to call me out on "being jealous/defensive" yes I am one of the Club Worship kids, but I'm *not* speaking only about Club Worship here. The Cornerstone Festival, though once a year, is every kind of church you can think of combined, including Rave.

And there's, of course, Andy Hunter and his worshipful techno genre.

Also, please, when people ask you a question, or make a comment, don't just start spitting off how "successful" your church is, and what you're busy with. Answer the question from your heart, not your website.
