This comment on Gerwin's remix cracked me up:

i like it but too much disco sounds

I'm guessing "David" ain't an EDM fan. laugh

Two people drift in a lifeboat. One says, "I see an island. Our best chance is to go ashore, build a shelter, and await rescue." The others says, "No, we must go farther out to sea and hope to find the shipping lanes." Unable to agree, the two fight, the lifeboat capsizes, and they drown.

According to the band:

"It's is a progressive contest.... in that we will be giving an award for the best remixes, we are still devising the best kind of award. But it will be something worth all the time and energy people have put into the remixes.... btw, some of them are fantastic.... seems like people are finally ramping up into a very creative space with the song..."

BTW, the Electrolternative Remix is the bomb Wink

Haven't listened to Gerwin's yet...but I wanted to say I finally pieced together the original stems to hear the original. I really liked it! Did they change vocalists lately? Roll Eyes
Nope -- he's the same vocalist with the band from the start. He's just gotten to be a much more powerful singer over the years.

New adds include my Looped Exodus Dub. It was nice to work with the raw material of a popsong. I first didn't like the original. but when I listened closer to the lyrics . . . .

peace, GL

It's been the same four guys since their debut album. Matt Odmark replaced Matt Bronleewe before the band moved to Nashville and signed with Essential. Bronleewe wanted to stay at Greenville and finsihed his degree so he left the band and Matt was asked to fill his place. So as far as the official, legal contract-binding band goes, its been the same lineup for 12-odd years. That's a pretty amazing feat these days, where bands change their lineups every other day of the week.

Yeah, to me they sound nothing like their first few hits...actually the first CD was nothing like the second come to think of it. The second was such a let down for me.  smiley23
But this track sounds really great, and still ...like nothing before. That's a real feat for a band.
