Glad you liked it! It asn't as good as Spidey 2, but it was still a good time with some neat things

yep
- They had it where he could put on the back suit, when reality he couldn't since it was a symbiont.
I think what you mean is in the comics he didn't take the suit off and then put it back on a lot, like his normal one. It stayed on him quite a bit of the time, and could change it's appearance to look like normal street clothes and such, so he didn't have a need to take it off. He was able to take it off when he wanted to though, and would take it off at night when he slept, only to have it creep it's way back.
When he finally went to Reed Richards (Fantastic Four) to find out more about the costume's strange abilities, he found out it was an alien symbiote and they were able to remove it. They discovered it had not permanently bonded with him yet, so that's why he was able to still take it on and off at will.
Of course when it knew he knew what it was, it didn't want to let him take it off, but he got it off with some help from Reed.
They underestimated it though, and it escaped back to his apartment to disguise itself as one of his spare red and blue suits, and he unwittingly put it on again. When he realized the alien was attached to him again, he went to the church to use the bells to get it off.
I think thats where they came up with the idea to have him be able to take it on and off again in the movie, and it was possible in the comics too, so they were sort of right, it just wasn't portrayed in quite the same way.
Again I think it's because they only had so much time in several hour movie, so they tried to keep the concept simple for people.
well as far as any spiderman history, mine is known from the big cartoon series during mid 90s. I never really got to read the comics, even I collected some holographic ones. Which I think they did it close to comics from what I've seen. Anyway, in the cartoon series where he bonds with the symbiont, he gets it from the shuttle while saving Mr. Jameson's son. Once bonded, he could just change his appearance and not take it off. So that's where i got confused.
Matt's ending would of only worked if previous statement was done, esp in bar scene.
Matt's ending?
yeah, his ending:
I have the perfect ending figured out but to post it would be a spoiler.

post it in white text. that way only those who of us who want to see it will

Okay. Well, first off they needed to lose the cheese when he was under the venom influence. That was funny and all, but it was wasted film time they could have used to make the final battle a bit longer, which is why it was anticlimactic to me. You get to the 'big ending' and it's over in like, two or three minutes and you're like, HUH? What?
Now, as far as the perfect ending? Simple. The camera goes into the bar where Mary Jane is singing. It zooms in and you see Aunt May's ring on her finger. Then Peter walks in and sits down IN THE FRONT ROW, like he did at her musical, and just sits there watching her sing with a satisfied smile on his face. BAM. PERFECT ENDING.
I don't think he could just pop the question and move on, not after the humiliation he did to her in the bar scene. If it was done different, then that ending could work.
