one thing a little off - they did know the type of wood used for the ark - gopherwood.
now, they're not entirely sure what gopherwood IS...so maybe that's why he's saying it.

Holland ain't that big, so a flood similar in size to the one in New Orleans could be pretty large. MOst of Holland is below sea level as well.
