That's extremely interesting... I mean... I have never been in a baptist church and I'm not sure where the point of departures are (dogmatically speaking). Truthfully, I'm scared that I'd end up switching denominations because of these points and I'm quite happy with the services at my Pentecostal church.
I think the lines are getting smaller between the two denominations, as John points out...there are some charismatic baptist churches that might shame the AoGs!
Without getting into 'spiritual discussion' I think it's amazing that my pastor dropped a bomb on the congregation a few weeks back when he admitted that tongues and 'prophetic words' were actually personal utterings about 90% of the time, and not the direct communication from God that all Pentecostals are brought up to think.
Believe me, there were some chains unfettered that day...several of the guys that felt that they had grown up with these white lies were literally freed by this comment and we were ecstatic to hear this even though we already knew it. Nuff said.
