Doesn't it? Its only coming out on PC as far as i know, but i wouldn't be surprised if the consoles managed to snap it up too!

It'll go console eventually just like farcry did. It'll be a great game, but for some reason, I'm not very excited about it. I loved farcry the first 2 times I played it. Although... I did get to the point where you are given a gun with 16 rounds in it and you have to spend about 9 of those taking down the one baddie who instantly charges you. Then you look over the cliff and see hundreds more below. I broke down and cheated at that point. Sad

Just watched the video....

Dang! That's gorgeous! Most really unrealistic thing about it is the angular look to the panning. Not sure how to explain what I mean, but in every FPS game I've ever seen, the planning looks unnatural.

Two people drift in a lifeboat. One says, "I see an island. Our best chance is to go ashore, build a shelter, and await rescue." The others says, "No, we must go farther out to sea and hope to find the shipping lanes." Unable to agree, the two fight, the lifeboat capsizes, and they drown.

Panning.

Instead of the scene rotating in a smooth circular motion, it's got what I can only think to describe as an angular motion.

If you watch the video, during the "Long Range Viewdistance" scene at 0:50, the POV pans left to right. Maybe it's just me, but it looks like, as it rotates, stuff to the right of the middle of the screen seems to move farther away slightly as it approaches the middle of the screen. Then the reverse happens as it continues to move from the middle to the left. It's subtle, but I don't think it's my imagination. I've noticed it in any FPS I've seen.

Maybe its combining what your two eyes would see.

Think about it... one eye will see things slightly closer than the other one. Look at something off to your right... now shut your left eye... the object should appear slightly larger... now shut your right eye... (with the left one open) the object should be smaller.

So maybe they're putting both eyes together to form a more realistic pan.
