Jamey Wright who founded tastyfresh.com with Andy Payne over 10 years ago put it best when he described djing
play a song crossfade play a song crossfade
repeat.
almost all DJing (few exceptions) is a form of that today. This song happens to be a very good tool for that purpose.
I'm not quite sure how questioning how groundbreaking a song is reflects back on trying to treat DJ'ing as some kind of great art form. I mean, sure, if you dig a song and think it'll fit in your set/get people dancing, great, but being mixable and a halfway-decent song wouldn't exactly make it unique. Just look at those e-mails Beatport sends out---they added, what, 4,000-some odd songs this week? (Yes, listening to the clip it didn't strike me, but I realize a lot of it's just a matter of taste.)
