I would say anyone can give it a shot. TWBP will definitely being looking for the quality of the mix so if a DJ uses cd decks or ableton or whatever, the mix should be solid. The real challenge is doing the shopping just from the past week, nailing a mix in a short amount of time, submitting the info and uploading the mix by the deadline.

Of course, if after reading the lengthy requirements if someone was still up for the challenge than I say go for it. If you pass the submission test than you will be selected to be part of the DJ roster.

the ONLY thing that bugs me about it is the WAV requirement. I understand it, but seriously... the podcast is what? 192kbps? It seems excessive.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit weird at first too. I know its important to Pete that he strives for the highest quality and production value. He has some big plans and wants to make sure its a quality show. I can respect that.

Here is Pete's official answer:

"It has been "WAV" but I'm relaxing it to 320K MP3 so we can get some of these international peeps in."

There ya go!

not yet. My thing is that I just don't have the time. Wish I did. How often do you do it now?  it's not every week so... what's his plan for how often?

Dave,

The show is released every Monday. I am on about a monthly rotation right now which works out great for me.
