And another reason to hate the fact that quite a few people think it was a good movie.

It shrinks it b/c I have a max image width set so it doesn't blow the template Wink It always has done this.

BTW, I'm one of those ppl. I thought a LOT of the symbolism was great. As far as the Son of Superman thing... it's true... Superman 2. He could make her forget, but he couldn't take back his actions. Heh... that does make him a legitimate child then though doesn't it? I mean... he was conceived in wedlock right? Wink

ya, i was disappointed by this movie.  superman ended up looking like a creepy super-stalker.  hanging around at night spying on lois "im a grownup! no,really i am!" lane.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I’m found.
Was blind, but now I see.

You mean how Superman is like Jesus and Lois Lane is like Mary Magdalene?  Tongue

No, They were never married in the second one: They just had sex on a swan-framed beanbag. I remember watching an interview of Margot Kidder saying that—in retrospect—Superman and Lois probably shouldn't have had premarital sex in S:II--Superman being a symbol of morality and all.

(How Kidder would remember the scene after the "Super-kiss," I don't know.)

Lois, one day: How the heck did I get pregnant?

Adds to the constant parallels in the flick between Jesus and superman doesn't it? Wink

Two people drift in a lifeboat. One says, "I see an island. Our best chance is to go ashore, build a shelter, and await rescue." The others says, "No, we must go farther out to sea and hope to find the shipping lanes." Unable to agree, the two fight, the lifeboat capsizes, and they drown.
