well ive been producing for about a year now and started djing recently just on my pc using my midi keyboard hooked up to the virtual dj program.

my question tho is whats a good starting set up that i can use thru my laptop? i want something thats midi so i can use it with my programs. and also something that is pretty much all in one.

i saw the m-audio xponent and thats pretty much serves my needs but its too much so then i found the bcd2000. is this a good starter to use with my pc? and also what can i do about scratching? it only has 2 little wheels for searching and cueing does anyone know if theres a way to hook up a single cdj or something like that to it also. so then id have something to learn to scratch with and mix with along side of the bcd2000 and eventually hook up possibly another cdj or something like that to have a full deck?

any other suggestions for starting kits* etc that you guys may be familular with or know as good buys.

as noted in my email, I'm pretty happy with my BCD2000 for use with traktor...

when it comes to live though, I'd like to pick up the uc33... I think coupling that with the trigger finger will give me the control I need... (for now.. lol)  It seems like once you master 2 tracks at a time you wanna go to 4... then once you go to 4 you wanna go to 8 (4 tracks + loops + samples + fx) lol

if I max out the controls on the uc33 and trigger finger, I might grab something like the bcr2000...

I'd like to get the bcf2000 for the motorized faders, but I'd rather have more knobs and faders than the motorized stuff... 

the cool thing about the bcr2000 and bcf2000 is if you change something in screen, it changes on the controller, but once you're in the zone with your controller, you won't be grabbing the mouse... :-)

at least if you keep your eyes out you can grab a uc-33 for like $50 and it's pretty solid controller...

hey guys thx for all the help but i think i found my own answers now ive been doing some research since my first post and you guys helped me plenty and i found some of my own answers so thx for all the help.

not deffently sure but i do now understand better what i can use for what and how and from that ill figure it out. i have ideas and just need to see what i can manage. thx for your help guys. i may have another question but im gonna research it first before i post.
