Tongue This is just something I needed to talk about because I want to know others opinions about this subject. The subject is about the way music has a message wether it may have vocals or none at all. For me when I hear Trance or anything thats moderatly fast I dont nessarily dance, I usually headbang Embarrassed and I dont really know how to dance either so thats anothet topic in itself. The music that I have d/led is made for dancing, for example Andy Hunter or BTU's mixes I know theyre made to make ppl groove and stuff but I know there are others who prefer not to dance and just headbang instead. Heres my point, I had a discussion about this with a close friend of mine and I mentioned some of the unblack metal that I had and I was explaning to him about the different music that is kind of like different levels of enjoying and the feeling the music.
1) Techno makes you want to dance
2) House *all gneres (except HardHouse)* make you feel good and make you want to dance a lil more.
3) Jungle/DNB/Breakz makes you want to break dance or something alng those linez.
4) Hardcore/HardHouse/ make you want to headbang even thoough you could break to both as opposed to hardhouse, Hardcore akes you want to headbang and grab the speaker and do all kinds of punk rok dancing.  Embarrassed Tongue
5) Lat but not least my personal fav Trance! Trance has both effects it makes you want to dance orthodixly or unorthodoxly as in your style of just goofing around.

heres my thoughts about the list I came up with, to me in my own personal opnion regarding worship towards God. Theyres all many styles of music and one God, theyre many avenues of dancing (ie, worship). (If a an indivigual chooses to wiorship God by rokcing out to thier fav music that is gloryfing God, does God care how we really do this). What I mean is if I feel like jumping up/down on my bed while listening to some DJ Rodimus or Norma Jean (the band) is this excersing the fruits of the spirit. I dont know all of them by heeart, but my friend was explaning to me that what I meant by (loosing it) while listening to some Christian Hardcore or unblackmetal that it wasnt. Now I belive he made a good point, but I also feel thats just my personality and if I am listenin to music that is edyfying my spirit and giving glory to God there shouldnt be any problem with it. I can equate this to a Preacher who is preaching a word and ppl get up and shout and run around in the Church and dance in place. King David danced before the Lord so I mean really if were having fun and having a good time in the Lord, how can that be wrong. I know my friend is old and doesnt understand EDM so I can respect that, but like I said it makes sense, but I dont believe that and thats just his own personal opnion. The End. Feel free to comment, because I want others opinions about this subject. Thank you.  laugh

Well if the music and dance dont contradict what God and His Word says and you would think God would approve, man rock on and worship God.

IMO, worship is not an action, it's an attitude. You can be standing in church with your hands in the air singing the best worship songs and have your mind on where you want to go out to eat after church. That's not worship.

If you're going nuts just to go nuts because you like the music, then I'd say that's not worship. There's nothing wrong with it, but I wouldn't consider it worship. However, you could be jumping up and down on your bed going nuts while rejoicing in how awesome and great God is. That is worship.

The pastor the spoke at our church today said that anything that places the focus on God and His greatness is a form of worship.

Two people drift in a lifeboat. One says, "I see an island. Our best chance is to go ashore, build a shelter, and await rescue." The others says, "No, we must go farther out to sea and hope to find the shipping lanes." Unable to agree, the two fight, the lifeboat capsizes, and they drown.
