thanks haha im startin to get more comfortable with it and the dreaming has mostly stopped

its just a lot of pressure when cashiering's you're ONLY job, cause they expect you to get reaaally good at it. there's a couple cashiers in my age range in my department that average about 25 items a minute, which breaks company records basically, and i'm still workin my way past 12-13 a minute. im gettin there though

what kind of store are you working at?

and yeah, my job description is mainly everything to do with the store except being the "manager" even though I do sometimes take on that role for brief moments during the week.  As far as finances, I just do cashier, refunds, little bit of accounts receivable and special orders when needed.  Other than that, Im just a know-it-all general help.

its basically a 2-floor department store, owned by the company kroger. its got electronics, home, apparel, and grocery departments, and i cashier in the front end. the apparel and home electronics have their own checkstands, but the front end has the highest customer traffic and we are prepared to check out items from anywhere in the store.
