yeah, that is odd, i checked 50 cent and strangely enough about 50 percent is explicit, the rest are "clean' or no qualifier at all.
alas, clean is good, it's a bonus for being a Christian track!

Cool that it's on iTunes!
But why does it cost $6 more to get the last track? [/whiney cheapskate

It may be available on cd soon. I hope to help out with that. Let me follow up with Wim and Arjan.
That might be more value for your money to alleviate your cost. What do you think? Downloads or cd's?
Who would subscribe to a label, I certainly would, all tracks released for <<insert dollar amount here>> per year. Software companies do this, why not record labels.
It could give access to ableton live projects/acapellas/basslines/etc for more of a custom dj set.
Or is mp3 download where we remain for a while with the industry?

I would definately be willing to look into that.. I spend quite a bit monthly on music as it is, it would be nice if there was some sort of emusic style thing for labels I actually purchase music from... deeplife should do that...
and totally on the dj-tools access something like $15/mo gives you access to all releases + asd's + project files if released + basslines + exclusive loops + maybe even submissions from the artists of reaktor/reason/plugin presets/etc files... it would totally be worth it to me and I don't even get paid to dj imagine how valuable it is to the pros..n

it's not a bad idea. I would personally be VERY picky about which labels I would subscribe to. If the label constantly delivered material that I like and would use and did so monthly, I might do it. But if the material is not constantly good or delivered, I wouldn't.
BTW, I'm talking in general rather than in regards to deeplife or deepsink.

right on, i will definitely do all that i can in order to make this project happen then. it may be that this will take some time to develop (months, years even), but i feel that flash technology combined with actionscript (ecmascript standard) and mxml, and the free cross-platform flash player (even works on opera browser for wii) should be THE platform for downloadable/ streamable media in 07 and beyond. Beatport is all flash based, and if we were to set up login access to DJ's, the Artists, and the Listeners to DeepLife's own database of project files, plugin presets, homemade reaktor ensembles / max msp - Pd patches / video renders/ visualization patches, then that would definitely mark a new era in collaboration between the dj, the producer, the listener, and the label. This new paradigm will have to adhere to rights of the original artists, but as a community of artists it may be something that can be copywritten after the song/album/zip pack is completed or for a licensed subscription. Subscribers would be the artists and radio (for free) until the pack is copywritten, and then released for public beta to the dj's and listeners for paid download, with access to future remixes and projects as well.
This would ideally prevent abuse of non-digital rights managment enforced mp3's such as what emusic offers, in the sense that since the iterative content (constantally being updated / changed / remixed) of the producer(s) would evolve as the collaboration continued, sustaining interest and satisfaction to the buyer.
Basically, from DeepLife Record's standpoint, a remix project would benefit all Artists involved in the release. The dj would benefit from a more immersive canvas to paint / interact with, and in turn the listener in the club or at home would experience a richer spectrum of talents and sonic textures.
As of now, it would be very possible to sell zip files to the public per download, or open up access to subscribers. I will get together with the rest of the DeepLife stakeholders and see what develops. Hopefully we will have something by Cornerstone on (data) CD-R for use, and then launch a beta web portal post-Cstone.
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated, not to mention a qualified web programmer. 404, are you there?

Beatport is all flash based...
Actually, the interface is flash. The back-end (which handles the DB and the login and so on) is PHP if I'm correct
Flash IS the needed front-end solution though.

You lost me here. How is this going to prevent abuse? DRM only punishes the person who obeys the law. That person isn't really a risk. They value the work in question. The abuser is the one who doesn't buy the product.
The stats I would like to see, but never will, is how many people make purchases on beatport and then distribute them to more than 1 or 2 people. I'm not worried about them giving it out to 1 or 2, it's the broad distribution that irks me.

I'd love to help, I have experience working with flash and a lot of php/mysql work, but unfortunately I haven't done any projects of this scale (not that I wouldn't love to learn!), and I don't have the development tools (mainly macromedia flash).
It does sound like an exciting project that I would love to be a part of if I can help in any way.... maybe if someone is strong in flash and needs a php or mysql programmer, I could help that way.. I also have a lot of server experience (*nix and windows) so definately pm or email if i can help in anyway.

They're on Beatport too!!! (All tracks available)
I liked the Original Mix best and the Tweaked Space was great too!
Thanks guys, it was playing in my mind for days afterward.
I love the theme of the song which is repentance and acceptance.
