"It is better to win the heart than the battle"

« on: January 25, 2007, 11:22:13 PM »

Hey guys,

I know this is WAY last minute, but I just thought of it.  If anyone would want to help me out with it that would be awesome.

So, our Fall Brawl battle of the bands Final is this Saturday night.  We have 4 bands in it and a total of around $60,000 in cash and prizes.  We are doing some cool big banners up on the back of the stage with pics of the bands, etc.  Here is a video with the 4 bands banners, etc:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpABdzB9yt8

Anyway, to my question.  I was thinking it would be REALLY cool if I had 4 different intros to play before each band hit the stage.  Preferrably something with each of their names in their intro.  All The Day Holiday, Redline, Wicked In The Mix, and The Winners Circle.  The intros could be like 30-45 seconds.  I would want them to be very epic sounding.  I'm sure you have heard other bands intros.

Anyway, like I said, I know it is VERY last minute, but I figured if someone is sitting around with time on their hands and wanted to play around with their computers, maybe someone would give it a shot.  And I also knew the only place to come with people talented enough to pull it off was here.   Smiley

It is not a huge deal if we dont have them, just thought it would be a cool addition.

I'm short on time right now...so I'll keep it simple...

They were awesome..
The crowd would clap during them...
It really added to the whole experience...

to my knowledge its only in the bundle, but if you made a pitchshift vst or something as well as a formant thingy, you could probably manipulate to a similar effect :-)

Ok now I have some more time...

The intros were great.  They really added to the overall experience.  I don't know personally, although I bet Chris would, I think all the bands thought they were cool.  I did hear a few people in the crowd say how cool they were.

This was the first time we have ever sold out for a local band show.  It was amazing.  The crowd was really responsive and everyone seemed to have a great time.

I took some pictures if you want to look at them go here.

Thanks again Joel...they were amazing.
