Oneel uses the uc33e. I still like a crossfader. the advantage to the UC is that it has a TON of buttons for presets AND 8 sliders with 3 knobs for eqs each. I just don't like 1) that the knobs don't have 360 rotation and 2) it feels somewhat cheap.

funny... I reinstalled the demo of it last week. man... I still don't like it
I don't like having to beatmatch. I'm too lazy. Even with the auto sync, it can get off
I also got put off by traktor cause the auto sync didnt work so well. And found it too difficult to beat match even with a controller. But still like beat matching!
You can also do serious djiong with the evoltion uc33 8 channel controller. I got it a mfew months ago and really enjoying it!
The templates you mentioned sound interesting! Do they work with live 5?
phat conductor's template works with live 5 for mac... but the pc version uses the macros in live 6 to do some of his tricks

what's a good EASY TO FIGURE OUT and cheap controller for Traktor? I tried X-session but that was way too hard to get it to communicate with my laptop. I did everything the instructions said and it still would not cooperate for me.
Is it worth buy FS? I see Traktor can be used with FS.

Final Scratch support is no longer in Traktor.
I use the BCD2000 with Traktor and it works great. You need to use a little program to get it to work right but all you need to do is download it, run it, import the template into traktor and you're good to go... jogwheels work for for scratching and nudging... and a ton of other neat things that he put into the midi translator..

that last link shows you what he assigned all the mappings to do in traktor...

Chris, what version are you on? 3.0?
If you do the 3.2 update, the FS support goes bye-bye:

chris... did you try the x-session or x-session pro? Both might actually be crap, but the pro is a better design.

it was the original x-session.
just to let you know, the BCD2000 that deeflash is talking bout is more involved than the x-session. If you had XP, its just plug and play, then enable it in the program. Ive tried both, and Live was easier than Traktor, but thats just me.
and yes, the new x-session is better laid out, but I have that new mixer, no need for it.

The UC is only £120 but i am really enjoying it. and is tons better than my last controller!
Would be good to have a cross fader too. might plug something else like the xsession pro at some point!
Did someone say the new m-audio controller has a sound card too?
