Coming in Feb.

Classic Christian Music

What does that mean to you?

How far back makes it classic?

What kind of music would you like to hear?

I've got music going back to 1963 to present so let me know.

Peace,

ThomMac

I think of mostly late-70s/early 80s stuff:

Pre-"Age to Age" Amy Grant
"More Power to Ya" Petra
"Horrendous Disk" and "Alarma Chronicles" Daniel Amos
The Imperials
Randy Stonehill
Kieth Green
Rez Band
Servant

Getting a little more recent:

Stryper
"I Want to be a Clone" Steve Taylor
The new wave Sheila Walsh

I'll have to browse through my LPs (not that I've got a lot).

Two people drift in a lifeboat. One says, "I see an island. Our best chance is to go ashore, build a shelter, and await rescue." The others says, "No, we must go farther out to sea and hope to find the shipping lanes." Unable to agree, the two fight, the lifeboat capsizes, and they drown.

I knew I should've gone through my LPs (and tapes) before replying. I forgot about all of those, even though I have albums by most--if not all--of them. Other possibilities....

Youth Choir (before they became The Choir)
Altar Boys
77s

I'll try to remember to look at what I've got at home to see if anything else seems to fit what you're looking for.

One question no one has answered:

How many years back makes it a classic in the Christian market?

I've been thinking of it in terms of being late-70s through probably mid-80s. Maybe late-80s.

Ill start in the early 60's with some really rad stuff.

My problem is I don't want to miss some of the really cool 90's stuff that came out and very few people heard. Maybe Ill just do a 90's segment as part of the show

You are going way back, aren't you? Cool!

I think the segment thing is a good idea. You're not really considering "classic", but you still can get to play it.

When is your show starting up?
