I am really trying to pinpoint the route I want to go on the next purchase of equipment.
I have heard so many good things about Serrato and thought of going the vinyl/mp3 route.
I love the feel of vinyl so thats a thought.

What about a top of the line cd deck?

Anyone wanna give me some pros and cons and any personal experiences you may have had?

def anyway to play mp3's is the way to go, since thats the direction of the industry. We're kinda being forced into it. If you love vinyl, def serrato / final scratch.

yeah I would take Serato/Final Scratch over cd players.  Stick with vinyl and get FS or SSL.

404 and Dunamis are dead on!  Go ahead and take the MP3 route.  However,  I'm not a fan of Serato or Final Scratch.  Only Ableton for me!

well right now, I have no choice.  Final Scratch eats lot less cpu than Ableton.   I got that new mixer, fixed the minor problems with my harddrive and when I open Ableton, load some music and then start midi, cpu goes down the drain.  Ive done it before with just that X-Session and my laptop but now its majorly slow, and yes, Ive done just everything for performance on a laptop.
