It's still a trademark within the same space (Cisco IPhone is a voip phone , and the apple iPhone is a cell phone). Cisco has maintained the entire time that it was a trademark suit only, and has nothing to do with the design and technology of the iPhone.

It was the same thing between Apple computer vs. Apple Music a few months back. They were cool as long as apple didn't get into the music area, but once they started selling music, things got into a gray area, where you need interpretation of the law. Although I'm glad apple came out mostly unscathed from the lawsuit from apple music, I doubt this will end the same way.
