Lips Sealed Yay! We had a Groove Fellowship in London!! Thanks so much to you guys, Graham, Drew, Shana. Thankyou for everything you brought with you and everything you left behind... (I mean the ideas, prayers, fellowship etc, not the crumbs on the carpet!! LOL) I have written a few things down for future reference to make the next one better and build on what we have so far. Here, are a few of my thoughts...

For next time...

Have a structure and make everyone aware of what that is from the beginning so no one is like "err whats next??"  I propose that this structure could/should include the following important elements...

1. How's it going for you at the moment? - Honesty

2. One thing you are thankful about... - Gratefulness

3. Lets focus on God now... - Worship

4. A relevant topical discussion...  - Focus

5. What are you working on? - Practical Support

6. Let us pray... - Spiritual Support

As for prayer I think the following are a good way of directing our energies:

1. Gratefulness (something I feel strongly about, that's why I mentioned it twice! LOL)

2.A Personal Issue

3. A Personal Project

4. A Topical Issue from Dance Culture

5. A Topical Issue from Christian Culture

6. Tastyfresh

These seem to me to be a good way of using the time. Some sections may have to be longer or shorter depending on what's happening in our lives and who's there I guess but I think they should all feature to some degree everytime we meet. These things are certainly what I would benefit most from right now. I would love to have a regular full on dance worship session with a decent sound system every week but that is for some future time I believe, not at the moment. However, a serious worship session is definitely a worthy project in its own right and is certainly something we can discuss and pray into. If it does happen, it won't be in my living room! LOL

Add to the thread with any other thought and ideas you guys may have had.

Once again, thanks so much for the support, we can make it happen together...

Thanks for that, I was thinking about the meeting and I think it would be a good idea for somebody to open in pray because I need blessings from God to giver me knowledge and understanding what He wants from me/ us within groove fellowship and also it is keeping it God focused, And if I understand it correctly that should be the whole point of our lives and in turn also in worship.

But I think that insisto is right, that the following is a good basis to go off of;

1. How's it going for you at the moment? - Honesty

2. One thing you are thankful about... - Gratefulness

3. Lets focus on God now... - Worship

4. A relevant topical discussion... - Focus

5. What are you working on? - Practical Support

6. Let us pray... - Spiritual Support

As for prayer I think the following are a good way of directing our energies:
1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 22

1. Gratefulness (something I feel strongly about, that's why I mentioned it twice! LOL)

2.A Personal Issue

3. A Personal Project

4. A Topical Issue from Dance Culture

5. A Topical Issue from Christian Culture

6. Tastyfresh

I suppose the next point for us would be to select a date to meet up again also we should think/ focus on the following before we meet again;

How's it going for you at the moment?
One thing you are thankful about
A relevant topical discussion
What are you working on?
Not sure if this would be personally or to do with groove fellowship or even both.
Personal Issue
A Personal Project
This might be linked to what we are working on
A Topical Issue from Dance Culture
A Topical Issue from Christian Culture
Tastyfresh

Focusing on this before would be making us prepared for the meeting and looking forward without our pace and focus.

Thanks Pinkster: aka; Graham

well, bless you for being prepared!  Cool Im not sure as not long after our first meet I had to move out of London and am now living in Essex. Drew is still there and we may be hooking up on the 30th to go to The Upper Room in Tonbridge. To be honest I need to devote more time to my studies so I don't think its the right time for a GFShip for me at least not in a facilitating capacity for the next 18months...

Hi All,

Just to say, would be more than happy to get involved.  It was great to see you guys at the Upper Room at the end of '06, and we feel that as a lauch event it went pretty well.  As with any ministry, networks are key, so would love to meet more people with a heart for this...

Speak soon!
