i don't know how the writing is split up,but to be fair jeremy is "just" the keyboard player
He also produces, programs, engineers, and plays other instruments.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.

Shiny Toy Guns is indeed Jeremy Dawson and Chad Petree, the lads from Cloud2Ground. After C2G they became Slyder for awhile, and now they have created the Shiny Toy Guns. There are others in the band, but they are the central part of it.
JTX is right, they both play a heavy part in writing, singing, programming, sequencing, playing other instruments, etc etc etc
Things are sometimes different for a live performance than how the band actually makes the music on the albums.
When writing the album, Jerremy told me it was kind of a conceptual album about people's lives all across america. Different people, different situations, all telling stories about "real" people, not in the sense that these are true stories, but in the sense that the characters are all in very real situations where they feel love, hurt, pain, dreams, etc.
I wish I could find the email where he explained it, he said it so much better!

Not sure if this helps, but here's an email interview that my friend did with Jeremy about STG:
