ok guys so I was just listening to some great vocal trance tracks i recently downloaded (luminary & funabashi) and i started thinking... why dont we have any really good Christian vocal EDM artists? i know some of you out there can sing... I'm trying to find a vocalist (preferably female) that would be willing to sing some lyrics over existing instrumental trance tracks thus creating a totally Christian worship track. im pretty good at writing lyrics but you wont catch me singin'  Embarrassed ...is there anyone out there that could answer this call?

here's a couple of my personal favs: (in order)

[female]
#1 - Jan Johnston - Oakenfold...and many others
#2 - Justine Sussia - Oceanlab
#3 - Ashley Tomberlin - Luminary
#4 - Damae - Fragma
#5 - Noemi - Possibly Chrisitan?
#6 - Lange - Lange

[male] (no order)
BT
Kyu vs Albert
ATB

Well...that's exactly what I'm working on. Not sure if it'll be good (!) but I should have a 3 song ep done by next month. Trancy/Breaky with vox. My voice (just a little) and two female singers I know. One of them was a live backup singer for the finale of American Idol for Fantasia. I know...big whoop but there ya go.

And I have heard unconfirmed rumors that the next ShelterShed record will have some nice woman vocals.

Plus, what about Mr. Hunter?   Can't discount his stuff on Exodus.

ha ha...   true.           so, would that be nice vocals sung by a woman or plain vocals sung by a nice woman?

Well, as for the nice man vocals I will stay out of it.  ha ha... my vocals are nothing to brag about.  (although I did sing on a few of my dnb tracks)

what oakenfold track are you thinking?
cuz im thinking of his new one sex and money (i think thats the name) and faster kill pussycat. neither of which has what most people would called wholesome lyrics.

[Oakenfold & Jan]

Unafraid ( Paul Oakenfold Mix)
Southern Sun
Am I On Pause
Silent Words
Perfecto's Greatest Hits (Perfecto Compilation)

i could go on...

...you know...before making negative comments about something that you know obviously nothing about ...do a little research.

Faster Kill Pussycat is with Brittney Murphy, and Sex'n Money isn’t even Oakenfold at all its Pharrell Williams...the entire point of this thread was to discuss making new Christian vocals...its has absolutly nothing to do with existing secular vocals and even less to do with the content of those lyrics. i simply listed those singers becuase i like there voices....

 Undecided

I've got a dub i'm working on atm too. Kinda titled it 'Pathfinder' Here are the rough, very rough, lyrics:

You are my pathfinder
showing me
the safe way thru
this mine field
of deceipt
you're light of truth
lead me to you

('cause) You are watching
You are waiting
When i am hesitating
[line here]

As i say very rough. I need a good vocalist now...

i dont know how to say this without sounding sexist but i would almost always choose female over male vocals... for EDM music at least... i guess it depends on the over tone and pitch of your track but my ears would always rather hear a beautiful female voice singing hypnotically rather then some dude  hurt
do u have a sample of the track done?

dude NICE JOB. i'd agree though it needs some vocals for sure. and maybe bring the melody out a little more but its definintly GRADE A work. you mentioned a euphoric break down...probably a good plan.  Lips Sealed

im looking forward to the final product!
