I think that things are deeper than bleepy stuff simply hanging around.  The whole movement of secular dance music is really exciting in that the whole "minimal" thing is about stripping away a lot of the uneccessary "wall of sound" approaches we have seen during the late 90's and early 2000's and bringing it back to what it's all about. 

Some of the stuff coming out now is dead simple, but completely danceable - shouts out to Trentemoller (Polar Shift!), Misc, and anything on the Perlon label. 

Speaks to me about my faith as well, it's more effective when I strip away all the unneccessary religion....

As for funky/electro house, it's Daft Punk all the way for me. Justice has some great stuff, too. (And they're Christian! Wink)
