Hey man, You are absolutely right about Tastyfresh! One thing I find remarkable (I am assuming it's because you are new to the "Christian Scene") is how a lot of your posts seem to imply that we are all brand new and starting out...that there's a whole new world left to explore in reaching the lost. Fact is, we've been already at it for well over a decade! I'm not saying this to discourage you. I admire your zeal. It's quite refreshing. I just think you need to do some research before you jump to any assumtions about us (TF) and the existing "Christian Scene".
Here's a bit of TF History for ya. Dave (Redsavior) is the owner, but he is not the guy who started this site. That credit needs to go to Jamey Wright. Jamey started TF in 1996, that's why at the bottom of this website you will see "© 1996-2006 Tastyfresh.com". He retired a few years back to focus on being a family man, but this was his vision. I am sure Dave's vision is at work here as well, but Jamey is the one who laid the foundation.
Christian Dance music and DJ's are nothing new either. The first US released Christian Dance CD was back in 1992 (Scott Blackwell's "Walk On The Wildside" and "MYX'd Trip To A Gospel House")...that is a huge 14 years ago! Carey Jarvis (
www.dancechapel.com) has been a major news resource for this scene for as long as I can remember.
Here's my theory about what's happening now. God has been raising up Christian DJ's, etc all around the world in thier own little small circles for all this time. Now He is bringing us together for something. It could just be awareness of each other. It could be for something a lot greater. We need to keep on keeping on as if it's been around for years and not act like this is all brand new. If we forget or ignore or remain ignorant of our history, we will not benefit from the past's gains and setbacks. Now is the time to look back and study so we can plan for the future.
