Well, anyone who knows me knows that my personal site is always a big toy for me to play with over and over.   So, once again I have a new manifestation of my artist site up.   I am sure some will hate it others will love it... either way in a month it will be changed again probably   Wink

I will probably be finishing the music page this week so check back later for it.

i like the design, it looks awesome. but why text in images? That kills screenreaders and makes it impossiable to resize text.

other than the accessability issues, it looks really freaking awesome.

Adidax - yeah, I know.    I was lazy.  I had the whole image going strong in Photoshop so I just did a quick transfer into ImageReady and posted it as images.   If I have time I will rebuild it in DreamWeaver later this week.  I have a bunch of paid projects though that take more priority right now.

So, eventually it will be in nicer CSS and stuff but for the next few days time doesn't allow.

Glad you like the design though.    Like I said, this site is my continuous toy and I mess with it almost daily. I am sure it will be different in a month or so.

i wish i could throw up a few that i've done over the past few weeks, but i don't have any money for webspace, and i would host it myself but we're borrowing our neighbors internet right now. and they all require Ruby on rails to run anyways.

None of them look as good as most of yours though. I've always been more of a coder anyways, so i just hack togeather just enough to get stuff working.

Ok, I am sorry.    I get bored really quick if I am not satisfied with something.    So, I did my website once again.   this time it is very minimal and contrasting.

It put more information in there this time so check out my page one more time. www.szeilenga.com

I'm a minimalist so it looks cool to me!

I really need to re-do my site. You actually change your site more times than I actually think about changing my site!

MonkeyPunk - yeah, dude, I just went to your site.   That is cool too.   I love minimalist stuff.   I find it coming out in my music a lot too.

You get my vote of doing my next music video.  Cool   ha ha...

i like this one too, but not as well as the one you had last week.

also, i meant to tell you this last week, but you're missing a doctype. Some browsers do funky stuff (notably i.e.) when you're missing that.

Not to threadjack but...I've actually called myself a "web designer" to people who have actually paid me money to build them a website...and I had no idea what a doctype is! I went and checked out one of my pages and the doctype code is in there.

I use Dreamweaver; does Dreamweaver automatically put that in? I had never noticed that before. Don't tell my clients!

BTW SZ, your link colors are really dark. I'm using Safari and they virtually disappear when you rollover them.

Here's the W3's explanation  of a doctype.
It's not absolutely necessary, but does help a lot.
