Hey everyone.   
I am working on the webpage for www.motionfoundry.net and the guy wants to use some of my music to market.
 
So in a nutshell I am getting a free full length music video out of the deal.   Pretty cool.

I need ideas.  I obviously don't want cliches or outdated ideas and video concepts.  So, does anyone have any ideas of what might be a good concept video? There aren't a ton of quality videos out there in the electronica/dance scene that I know of so I dont' know where to look for ideas.  I would probably try to use one of my more popular songs (based on the playlist from DI.fm) and then do a concept over it.

If anyone has good ideas or something that has been flopping around in their head for awhile just let me know. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on the whole video realm of the electronica scene.

Seriously, it depends on which track you use obviously so it's hard to say. I'm in the motion graphics biz and doing a good video is tough. In some respects, no video is better than a bad video!

You should probably determine what you're trying to sell (if anything); you, the song, your album etc. But I've liked your CD covers in the past. If you could get that to translate to video, I think you'd have something.

anyone listen to the EP at the end of the poll I posted?   Maybe one of those tracks?  What about In Medias Res (track 3)?

i think the intro to the video should be someone popping in that sweet audio cassette tape in your signature into a tape deck and pressing play.

 

I think you should do a Robert Palmer "Simply Irresistable" mock video, but with clowns playing instruments and swaying behind you. not only would it be funny, it would also be disturbing.

Music vids are meant to be about the music - not the people. So focus on the music and make it really highbrow..
