Any of you who know me well knows that I've been through the ringer a bit in the last few years...  I lost my Father to brain cancer and my Grandmother to smoking.  My friend Mark was killed in the 9/11 attacks.  I've had personal issue after personal issue.

Well,  here's my latest.  My Grandfather has Alzheimers.  He's regressed rather quickly,  too.  I took him out to lunch a week ago Sunday,  and today he's in the hospital thinking he has to get ready for work.  He's not dealing with treatment very well.  Now,  he's going to be transferred from the hospital to a rehab facilitiy.

I never pray for healing.  I always pray for God's will to be done.  I know he does that anyway,  but it makes me feel better to talk with God.

Anyway,  please remember my Grandfather and my family in your prayers.

Praying, man.

Two people drift in a lifeboat. One says, "I see an island. Our best chance is to go ashore, build a shelter, and await rescue." The others says, "No, we must go farther out to sea and hope to find the shipping lanes." Unable to agree, the two fight, the lifeboat capsizes, and they drown.

My grandmother had it as well. It's rough to see someone you've known all of your life and then have them change and be someone completely different. I just hold on to the early memories of when she was "on". And actually, the things that she did that we deemed "crazy" at the time, are kind of funny memories now. It wasn't funny at the time but over time, you forget the bad times and remember the good. But I'll definitely be praying for you.
