All I can say is....WOW!!!! Freaking awesome!!!! 2 incredible bands...in one incredible venue!!!!
STG is probably one of my newest fav. bands now...I couldn't believe the energy and sound that came from those 4....
Jeremy Dawson of course...blew my mind!!!!! I finally got to meet him and chat for a couple of min. too bad he was surrounded by fans seeking autographs & pictures....
oh...and he was wearing an "Invisible Children" t-shirt!!!
Thanks Jeremy for a great night....I hope to see you in Roseville, CA Friday night!!!

yeah i was there at the seattle show too and once again they rocked it. they are a VERY good live band.
cool thing is how both the lead singer (chad) and the synth player (jeremy) where trance producers together back in the day with slyder and cloud 2 ground. i got a chance to see slyder live WAY back in the day.

Sorry for being such a Brit, but who are Shiny Toy Guns? I quite like them, from what i've heard on their myspace page. Are they Christian, or is this still the Mutemath "a band who happen to be Christian" thing?

I did as well. It was 4 years ago actually. I still have a bunch of their mp3's from Stormwest...wow the memories! I am thinking about seeing MM and STG in Tulsa on the tour or just waiting until STG comes here for a side show.

well i definately wouldnt classify them as a christian band. of the 4 members, this is what i know: chad (guitar/vocals) - use to be a christian but now he certainly doesnt live the lifestyle anymore. after speaking with him for a bit after the show that guy doesnt sound like he's there anymore. jeremy(synth) - definately was and i believe still is a christian. carah (vocals) and mikey (drums) - i have no idea but more then likely not christians.

That is so sad. I am assuming you mean STG, right? Drew, Here's the rundown that you are missing. Shiny Toy Guns is a band fronted by Chad Petree and Jeremy Dawson who used to produce trance under the name Slyder, who used to produce Drum&Bass/Chill under the name Cloud2Ground. STG is a huge departure from thier Christian Dance roots and is considerably a secular band that does 80's influenced synth pop. Great band. Mutemath IS a Christian rock band who are making huge waves in the mainstream. They used to be marketed under the name Earthsuit. ^ don't worry about Mutemath, i <3 them! I've also got Earthsuit albums one and two (which i had to order direct from them...) however the second album wasn't as good as Mutmath nor the previous Earthsuit.

Wow. What a departure from the Tastyfresh that I used to know.... a discussion about the faith/practice of Jeremy Dawson that didn't devolve into yelling and screaming. Way to go, guys. I hadn't heard of STG before, but I'm loving the music on MySpace. Too bad I can't reccomend it to my youth group kids (We have "only Christian music" policy for youth group events.) (Side note... as I typing this, "You Are the One" came up on their MySpace page.... ummm... did that used to be a Slyder track? lol! talk about a remix! ) Anyways, one small correction.... MuteMath ≠ Earthsuit. Paul Meany (lead singer/vox) used to be in Earthsuit, but that's it. And yes, MuteMath rules. I'm planning to go see them in Philly on Nov. 3
