I'm glad we stopped at 2am every night. It was just enough to dance late yet still keep 'em coming back the next night.

I went to Cornerstone a few times, and Scott Blackwell signed some of his CDs for me.

He signed the inside jacket of his "The Real Thing", and labled all the pics in there for me.

If you open up the jacket and look at the middle, the hands on the mixer on the right are Scott's, and he labled it "First Cstone Rave - JR Barbee has this mixer now."

The upper right hand corner crowd shot is Cornerstone 1992.

I've got it right here. I'll send out address requests/confirmations next week. At least that's my plan. I've had to take some "me" time to maintain sanity since Cstone.

From what I gather there were "rave nights" in the early to mid 90s back when it was a "dance tent" as opposed to the barn.  Brian Scroggins talked about it in that interview I did with him a few years back.  I'd like to know when NSoul started running the dance part.

The first I ever heard about actual DJs playing at C-Stone was in 1998 when the foundkids played short sets in between NSoul live performances, but I wasn't really paying attention to Cornerstone much before 97 or so, so there's a lot of history I've probably missed.  Someone enlighten us!

I think it was 98 or 99 when I went that the dance tent ran overnight slots. I remember talking to one DJ and he was like 'Yeah, I'm going on at 3 a.m. - hope to see you there'. Boy...good times. That was right after I really started to get into dance music.

Excerpt from my cloudy memory - 16 years ago...

Cornerstone 92 DJ Love Joy and one of his buddies were selling stuff in one of the small merch tents. To make things interesting, Love Joy brought his turn tables to attract folks to their merch stuff. People showed so much interest in what he was doing that a crowd gathered one night and it turned into a "rave". The next night same thing happened and someone bought in a strobe light and a couple of cop lights and it drew a bigger crowd. That night it got "shut down" because it got a bit crazy people were banging into merch tables and stuff...
