Dance Music is My Drug!!!

« on: September 01, 2006, 06:55:18 PM »

It's just recently come to my attention that a Producer/DJ(Bedroom dj) that promote for is Jewish and I was chatting with him about Tastyfresh and the rest of the Christian dance scene and was just wondering where a Jewish DJ/Producer would fit in this scene, Jewish people have a lot of different views than ourselves and I was just wondering everyone's thoughts on this subject.  I don't feel they should be excluded because of religious faith.  This may be a touchy subject but I was just curious what people thought on here about it.

I love Jews. Something about them... just makes me want to hug them.

In my experience, we have more in common than in disagreement. We're pretty Jesus-centric on Tasty though, so a Jew may not particularly want to stick around.

That said, how many non-Christian members do we have? Any? I don't know how much of our christian dance scene discussions would bear any interest with others.

We have a few. The don't always identify them and they don't always post either. Since the board isn't laced with "Jesus-speak", there's some reason for them to be here Wink Plus, I'd like to think that some of the articles are helpful to them.

To be honest, I would have said that we do have a lot of Jesus speak... but you'd be the one to know Smiley  As to articles, yeah, that's a good point.

I actually think that the Jewish people, and a Jewish DJ can be treated differently than any other unbeliever.

You see, we are the converts to Judaism. We are the one's who are believers of the Way. That being that Jesus of Nazereth is the Christ, the annointed Messiah as prophesied to come in the Hebrew Scriptures. The blessing promised to Abraham that in your seed all the nations of the eart will be blessed.

This is why I love listening to Matisyahu.  He's Jewish, but we are both worshipping Elohim/YHWH the almighty Creator.  When he shouts out "We want Messiach now!" I can shout it out too!  Now, I might differ on whether it is Messiach first or second coming.

That said, too many Christians make the mistake of thinking they must convert Jews to Christianity. You can't!  Rather, focus on them seeking out their God. Most Jews today are rather secular, even the practicing ones. Since the Holocaust many lost faith in the Lord. Others just go thru the motions.  Though some are fervent.

Encourage them to fervency, encourage them to see out the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  Encourage them to follow after King David's footsteps and be a man after God's own heart.  Share your belief in Jesus as the Messiah. But gently...and encourage them in the least to seek after the God of their ancestors.  Tell, them that you simply believe if they draw closer to their God they will find their messiah.

The blood of no bull and no sheep can rightly atone in fullness the sins of man. The only one who has the spiritual $$$ to pay our sin debt is the one who created all of Creation.  As for why the Messiah must be both God and man.  God to pay the debt. And man to be a kinsmen so that he might redeem.
