Just listened to 'Jetpack Stack' on this months 'Future Music' mag DVD.  Interesting sounds and like the way the beat changes through the track... Cool!

Sheltershed Reader Top 10 review:

"Well-arranged techno shenanigans with a cool lead synth line. The sounds aren't bad, although some of them could do with a bit of polishing and fattening. Oh, and the vocal sample that comes in around the three minute mark isn't in time, which is quite irritating. Apart from that it's a top track."

This is the view of Future Music. Personally, I disagree with some of their comments.  I think it's a great track!    Cool

Thanks for the very kind words DJ Ru Smiley

The reviewer apparently didnt like that we edited that break to bust in between the 3/4 instead of the 4/4.  he interprets it as not being in time, which is technically correct if you assume everything should be in 4/4 heh.  I like to get creative and we decided to rush that break a bit to change things up - I guess FM didnt dig that heh.  Fair enough.  I like surprises though Wink

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound

i like the ambient loop on the site, what track is it from?

Hey bro- I wish I had more of an exciting report about the background tune, however Woody, our web guy, says it is just a preset from the web construction software he was using – he just looped it.  smiley23

I'm thinking Jetpack Stack would make for a great remix tune.       :-)

Thanks for the kudos on the Jetpack Stack track syber jedi. Some of the other feedback we are getting suggest that Pivot Point (Track 5) & Pivot Point – Drop the Transmission RMX (Track Cool are among the favorites…

Here is another review of Other Condition that has a different take on the album from what Oneel wrote earlier this month:

It will appear in the next issue of Flaming Fish Automata mag:

Sheltershed - Other Condition

 (independent, 2006)

After several years on the revived MYX Records laebel, venerable Christian techno/dance outfit Sheltershed has returned to independent status for their second full-length album, titled "Other Condition." Although the album lacks the diversity that gave the band's 2003 reelase, "International Plastic," its epic vibe, "Other Condition" makes up for this by featuring an edgier sound that blurs the boundaries between hardcore techno and electro-industrial. The result is a sound that the band describes as "electro-core" and can best be compared to an instrumental (the only vocals are occasional spoken or shouted lines on a few numbers) Deitiphobia or Voxis sans the guitars. Veteran "shed heads" will also appreciate the fact that all but one of the 8 tracks on the album was previously unreleased. The lone exception, "Submersible," was originally featured in a different mix on the band's 2005 Hx EP. This decision to record new material, rather than endlessly remixing older songs, preserves Sheltershed's status as one of the Christian dance scene's better-known outfits, and ensures that "Other Condition" will be remembered as one of the genre's strongest reelases of the past year.
