ok, i played it last night, and i like it. However, from the demo, it plays like it should be called Battlefield 2: Lazer Gun mod. The Mechs are cool, but that's about the only new thing that's been added.

another thing that isn't cool is nobody has grenades anymore. So if you're in the recon class, you don't have any defense against vehicals, because all you have is a knife a pistol and a sniper rifle.

It seems that they're going to have a bunch of stuff that will let you customize your class though, and there are like 42 ranking and stuff like that, so it seems that it will have a bit more depth than BF2.

I would love to play it...but even with my 8mbit connection...I still can't successfully download the whole file..even after SEVERAL attempts...

like Steam??? maybe that's what they like to think it is, but it's a total piece of crap if you ask me.....  Worst interface in recent history. Not to mention it has links to videos of games I don't care about and I can't delete them. I can't back up the gamedata to CD like I could with steam. Only reason I have it is stupid me decided to buy the game online (WHY GOD WHY). I mean I couldn't even download the freaking demo early which is the reason I purchased the game online in the first place!

But, gamespot has a link to the demo that works great.

I ment that it is like steam in that it lets you download the demo without firefox/iceweasel screwing it up 4 or 5 times in a row.
