Yes... the label is N*Soul. Evidentally, they started managing artists: http://nsoul.com/manage/

NSOUL Artists Management is a leader in the personal management business
Not that I don't believe them, I just wonder if that statement may be a bit exaggerated. What evidence do they have? What makes them a leader?

I dunno... the fact that just about every artist off N*Soul is well... faded into near obscurity today? But that doesn't mean they are being led in a direction that is GOOD for them.

The only exceptions I can think of are the ones who made a effort to go into the secular scene and that wasn't b/c of N*Soul's management.

You know what... it's your biz. If you don't say your a leader, who's gonna sign with you? Seriously.

I'm just amused that, if you go up one level to nsoul.com (which is the kind of thing I often do when going to corporate Web sites), they've got DiM's Triangle album, Prophetica's Icons, and other old stuff still in the "New Releases" section. I guess the artists that come to them might now know that those are really old releases, but that'd really turn me off to going with them as my manager.

Nevermind the fact that they lost all distribution about the time those albums were released. So... while they are butt freakin' old now... not a lot of people have heard them.

Who cares? About any of this? The more we ignore them the less of a stain they will leave on the industry.

Rrrrowwwl!

y'all are scaring me.

Nsoul has been doing mostly latin stuff from what i understand.  they're in the business of 'managing talent',not just dance music.

i had a phone conversation with phillip the other day:

1. nsoul has signed deal with itunes.  will be on there shortly
2. a sampler and a brand new trance artist(noone you have heard of)  is going to be released this year.
3. nsoul is really selling alot of cds and product to countries that are craving christian music.
4. nsoul.com is getting a MAJOR facelift.  It has already begun.  You can go there and see.
thats it.

That's the buzz!
