Peace to Brian's family. He has finished the race and is in the presence of God even now.
Someone mentioned the pictures from the WattEdge show. I had them saved from seven years ago. These are the ones of Brian and his setup:
Thanks for posting those. That is from one of the two shows me and him threw for my youth group at our church. Good memories...thanks

I still remember the pang of gear lust I felt when these pics were first posted back on the old, old TF boards.

Hey all. I just spoke to Dana. She is trying to read through this thread and as you can imagine, it is a difficult and emotional read. She wants to post here but isn't up to it yet. Until then she wanted to make sure you all know she is deeply appreciative and grateful for all of your Love, support and prayers.

Hello all,
My name is Matt Davis. I am horrible at writing, but I felt the Lord was leading me to do this.
I knew Brian back when we were in high school. I just heard two days ago of his passing. When I heard, my wife and I started doing some searches and found this site.
Besides when he and Dana came to my wedding over 11 years ago, I hadn't seen him since around 1992 or 93.. He got in contact with me when they were expecting their first child, and for whatever reason, after talking to him once or twice, I lost his number. I didn't get a chance to talk to him again.
I am not sure if any of you knew him in his high school days, so I thought I would share a little about him. We never went to the same school, but attended the same church, CBC of Alta Loma, and went to the youth group together. Seeing some of the pictures of him without his front teeth brings back a lot of memories. He would always go around and mess around with some of the girls at group (talking like he was nuts) and then have his teeth fall out. The girls would go screaming and we would laugh so hard our sides would hurt. He was also famous for pretending to run into doors and to trip and fall on his face. From the way it sounds, he didn't change too much.
More importantly, I remember the times we would have a Bible study together, praying for the salvation of the lost students who attended youth group that didn't know Christ.
When I was in high school, I didn't have more than a very few friends, but I would say that Brian was one of the few. I was always very nervous around people, never knowing what to say or do. But when God put Brian in my life, He gave me just what I needed, a friend who would be there for me and pray for me when I needed it most.
I also remember when our youth group would have a summer retreat at a camp in mountains. We would spend time worshiping and listening to our youth pastor preach. But we would also have time to goof off. The funny thing is, Brian would always be the one who would be completely serious about the time of worship, and then afterwards be the one who was out there in the middle of whatever crazy thing our group was doing.
Even though I have not seen Brian in all these years, I still felt such strong sorrow when I heard of his passing. My wife Michel and I were talking and we agree, that once you make a Christian friend, they will always be a friend. That relationship will never end. Death will not stop it. Death here is just the beginning of the Best Thing to come.
Reading all of these posts here about Brian makes me wish I could have somehow gotten in touch with him years ago, I think about all time I could have had continuing to know him and his family. But I have to remember, when I see him again, he can fill me in on what I missed out on!
I will be praying for Dana and their children, Bud, Lola, and Jim.
Matt

If you're on this page you are probably aware that Brian has entered into eternity with God. He is survived by his wife and by his three children, ages 4-9. Below is a link to a short video of Brian, taken a few weeks before his passing, along with photos and video taken over the years.
www.archuletaville.com/briansPage.htm
For those of you who met Brian this will bring back great memories of this amazing guy. For those of you who never met Brian, it will give you some insight as to what kind of guy he was. Brian believed in his heart that God's plan for him was to be healed of his cancer, but accepted that God's will is known only to God. In the last two years of his life, after having been diagnosed with brain cancer, Brian always maintained a positive attitude. He never lost faith in God and God's promise.
If you have the ability, and are moved to do so, please donate to the assistance fund set up for Brian's Family. Anything you could spare would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks Daniel. Brian did touch many people. There were about 400 in attendance. Very near a full house. It makes you consider and reflect on what your (my) impact is on the world and if I have made that kind of a difference, to move people as Brian did. Brian was a rare individual.

well you are kinda within driving distance, so I'd show for yours Dave. Seriously I would have flown to Cali for Brian's. If I had not already been booked to play at that youth event in Iowa, Brian would have been my main priority. I did honor Brian in my set Friday Night. He was on my heart the whole weekend.
