I know most people are like me and simply won't waste time to listen to your "in progress" tracks if they are not easily accessible. What we are looking for is four little characters at the end of your file: .mp3

If you have your track hosted somewhere that requires us to download software, I skip it. If it requires me to become a member or sign in, I skip it. If it is any other file type, I skip it.

Please save your files as mp3, upload them to a place that all we have to do is "right-click, save file as" from inside Tastyfresh and the world will be a much happier place.

In doing so, you are allowing for your track to get more listens and therefore, more feedback.

OK, but for those of us who can't afford webspace like that, is purevolume.com ok?

I DO NOT want to sign up. I Do NOT want to install.

I want to click the mp3 track and have and mp3 to review. Smiley

If it's not an mp3 there only like a 5% chance of me listening.

Well, i can't provide that directly, it is downloadable on my purevolume page - they use some embedded thing that won't let me get the 'deep' links to the actual file.

Well that's one way of doing it, another is to upload your mp3's to a different site.

Aaaaahaahahha.

But HomeComputer, the issue is being able to link directly to MP3s. I've never seen MySpace let you link directly the file. But I could be mistaken.

prejudice aside it is a simple way for people to hear the music.

also what you could do is just yousendit.com it, link stays up for 7 days and its a quick download.  its not like you host partial clips forever anyway.

yeah there is the option for the artist to allow for download via direct link. MNost don't choose to use it though, wanting to sell their songs.

please have understanding for those who don't want their songs floating around the internet and prefer a streamed listening option instead. Sometimes mp3's cannot be done because the song may soon be sent to a record company and can jeopardize possible acceptance.

Steaming can be just as good as mp3s.

Here are some other free websites you can use to upload music for downloading if yousendit.com doesn't work:

http://rapidshare.de/
http://hyperupload.com/

and for streaming:

http://www.soundclick.com
http://music.download.com (good for downloading too)

these both seem to be pretty easy to use for the listener
