And I am glad for it! Thanks for watching out for our eyes Dave....
That really sounds horrible to lose your vision by going to a rave like that.....
Double ouch!

there are alot of laws in place in the US about the use of lasers, maximum wattage, restrictions on placement and direction.

That's just extremely sad, and of course the company is not available for comment, probably skipped town. People should be properly trained on how to use Equipt. for people's safety and for Equipt. safety (ie-running the amps too hot, blowing speakers, whatever). There was a festival one time that we had here and I was a young (like premature young) baby dj then, but I did know a little something about live sound. Anyway, the dj tent the sound was horrible, go over and look at the mixer (the main mixer, not the dj mixer, I wouldn't dare touch a dj's mixer) and sure enough it was clipping all over the place. Adjusted the gain, turned the bass down a little, voila. I even had one of the kids come up and thank me for keeping the tunes going, I felt pretty good about that.
Looking back I wanted to smack the dj's, who should have known that. But how many dj's do you know that know absolutely NOTHING about sound levels and that red means BAD? A lot..

that reminds me of a last gig, we had to switch between my DJ mixer and the mixer for the band, lol, mine sounded whole lot better than the house mixer and we were stuck with that one, bummer.

They must of been wicked powerful.
The ones we use at Club Worship shine right at the people.....but it's low enough that it won't do enough damage. Trust me, Jeff and I have stared straight into them long enough that if we're not blind by now, we won't be.
