So has anyone ever used or tried taxi.com or a similar service for trying to sell your songs?

Unless they deal specifically with electronic music, I'd avoid them. EDM is a very specialized thing.

I do a lot of production outside of dance music.
Plus a slew of song writing... I was just looking for any personal experience.
I guess I'll just have to spend the $300 and try it out and let you guys know what I think lol.

I had a guy here at work looking seriously at it, from what I know its a specialized service as well. Really deals with big label song writing and more poopular pop, country, etc etc.

hmm well an alternative would be pumpaudio.com ... but they take 50% of any royalties.
I don't know... $300 for a legit chance at putting my foot in the door of the industry seems pretty worth it.
Plus taxi has a 1 year money back guarantee if I don't find their services to work for me.
From what I read, they are pretty good about giving the refund too.
I don't know how smart of a move throwing down $300 for a 1 year membership is but I've always gone by the practice that the risk is always part of gain.
I guess in a way thats kind of how I live for God too.
Does anyone know of any other sites other than taxi.com or pumpaudio.com?

$300 is nothing really. It cost more than that to run an AD in IDJ magazine.

Ya I agree
I've submitted some music to pumpaudio... it seemed like a pretty smooth process.
We'll see how that goes.
According to the agreement I could sign up for taxi and publish the same songs through their service as well so I figured why not try pumpaudio out as well.
Heck if I get a bite on either.. its money coming in right?!
